Influence of Problem Based Learning Learning Model on Poetry Writing Skill of Grade V SDN 29 Ulak Karang Utara

Abstrak

This study is based on the lack of interest of students in writing poetry, students are less able in the selection of words and ideas, the media used by teachers is less interesting, so that makes students bored and saturated, Students' learning results in writing poetry is still less satisfactory, and Model of learning in writing poetry is still not optimal. This study aims to describe the difference in the results of learning to write poetry students are taught with a model of Problem Based Learning learning with students taught by conventional learning methods. Dalman (2014: 4), explains that writing is expressing ideas or ideas in the form of essays freely. Duch (in Shoimin, 2014: 130) says PBL is a teaching model characterized by real problems as a context for learners to learn critical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as gain knowledge. The method used in this research is experimental method. The data analyst uses normality test, homogeneous test, and mean difference test (t-test). Can be seen  = 1,92, while = 1,73 1,73 then 1.73 <1.92 so the hypothesis H_0: μ1 = μ2 is rejected and H_1: μ1: μ2 is accepted. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the use of learning-based problem-learning model on poetry writing skill of grade V SDN 29 Ulak Karang Utara with experiment class learning result, mean 83, mode 96, median 81, variance 103,47 and standard deviation 10.17 whereas the mean of control student learning result that mean 74,41, mode 81, median 74, variance 108,82, and standard deviation 13,44. After tested the hypothesis obtained = 1.92, whereas= 1.73, because> it can be concluded that the results of learning to write poetry students taught by the model of learning Problem Based Learning is better than the results of learning Writing poetry students who are not taught model of Problem Based Learning learning in grade V SDN 29 Ulak Karang Utara Padang year lesson 2016/2017.
