This study aims to overcome the problem of learning process that is still not effective in SD Negeri 58 LubukBuaya, where teachers only use lecture and question and answer method, the learning process is still centered on the teacher, the lack of cooperation between teachers with students and students with no students Who dared to ask questions, and there were still students chatting during the lesson. This results in a lack of student understanding of the material presented by the teacher. One of the causes of less effective learning is because the learning process is only teacher-centered. Teachers have not used a lot of model variation in learning, so students become more quickly bored during the learning process takes place. The lack of active involvement of students in the learning process will affect the students 'learning outcomes, so that the fourth grade students' learning outcomes are still below the Minimum Exhaustiveness Criteria (KKM) of 75. To overcome these problems, the Kumon learning model is applied. In this Kumon learning model, students learn individually where the teacher provides the problem with the level that can be done. The purpose of this study is to describe the effect of the application of the Kumon learning model to the learning outcomes of Indonesian students in grade IV at SD Negeri 58 LubukBuaya. The theory used in this research is Susanto's (2014) theory of Indonesian learning and Kumon's learning model that Aris (2014) proposes. The type of this research is the experimental research with the population is all the fourth graders of SD Negeri 58 LubukBuaya which totals 64 students. The research design used was Randomized Control Group Only Design and obtained class IV A as experiment class and class IV B as control class. The results of this study can be seen that the analysis of normality test with Lilifors test obtained so that the results of learning Indonesian students class samples normally distributed, test analysis homogeneity variance obtained results  (Then  is accepted with the real level α = 0,05 so that the result of learning Indonesian both of sample class have homogeneous variance, and hypothesis test by using t-test is got result that (2,16> 1,99) so hypothesis :  is rejected and  :  is accepted. Thus, it is concluded that the result of learning Indonesian students whose learning using the Kumon learning model is better than the result of learning Indonesian students using the method of teaching lectures.
