EFFECT OF IMPLEMENTATION OF VALUE CLARIFICATION TECHNIQUE(VCT) MODEL ON IPS LEARNING RESULTS STUDENT CLASS V SD SABBIHISMA 1 PADANG

Abstrak

This study aims to determine the effect of application of Value Clarification Technique (VCT) model to the learning outcomes of class V students in IPS learning at SD Sabbihisma 1 Padang. The type of this research is experimental research. The independent variable in this research is applying value calrification technique (VCT) while the dependent variable is the result of IPS learning. The population in this study is all students of grade V SD Sabbihisma 1 Padang, amounting to 86 students. The sample in this research are V-A and V-B SD Sabbihisma 1 Padang students who are taken by using purposive sampling technique. The data analyzed in this research is the score of learning result of IPS of cognitive domain collected through objective test. Data collection techniques in this study using tests and documentation. Hypothesis testing using t-test formula that preceded by prerequisite analysis test and normality test and homogeneity test. The results showed that there was a significant difference of IPS learning result between the experimental class by applying the value clarification technique (VCT) model and control class by applying conventional model. This is indicated by the t-test result that is tcount> ttable, with tcount of 1,94 and ttable value equal to 1,68 at significant level 0,05. And the average post test experimental class score of 84.00 is better than the average value of post test class control that is 77,9 and KKM 75,00. So it can be concluded, learning value clarification technique model (VCT) influence on student learning outcomes IPS class V student Sabbihisma 1 Padang. Based on the results of research, the researcher suggested that teachers can use the value clarification technique learning model (VCT) to improve the learning process of the students.
