ABSTRACT

 


The purpose of this study is to describe the increase in activity and learning outcomes on science learning by using the model of Problem Promising learning in grade IV SD 2 Sabbihisma Padang. This type of research is a classroom action research (PTK) conducted in two cycles, each cycle consists of two meetings, the subject of this study are students of class IV which amounted to 24 people. The instruments used were observation sheets of teacher learning activities, student activity obsevation sheets and final test cycle sheets. Based on the research results obtained an increase in student learning activities in the question on the first cycle with a percentage of 39.58% to increase to cycle II with a percentage of 79.16%. Activity answering questions in cycle I with 52.08% percentage increased to cycle II with percentage 85.41%. Student learning result on silkus I with percentage of 74,16% increase to cycle II with percentage 78,75%. From the results obtained can be concluded that there is an increase in activity and learning outcomes of science students of grade IV SD 2 Sabbihisma Padang after using Problem Promting learning model.
