ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to compare the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics learning using the model of talking stick higher than the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics with ordinary learning in fourth grade students SDN 31 Pasir Kandang. Hypothesis in this study is the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics learning using talking stick model higher than the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning metatradically with ordinary learning in fourth grade students SDN 31 Pasir Kandang. The type of this research is experimental research. The population in this research is the fourth grader of SDN 31 Pasir Kandang for the academic year 2016/2017. The sample class is taken at random by lottery or lottery. The learning result data was obtained from the final test conducted on both sample classes. The final hypothesis test obtained χ2count = 6,734 and χ2table = 3, 84. So the probability value (p) given for db = 1 is obtained 0.0005 <p <0.05 means H0 is rejected and receives H1. Thus it is concluded that the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics learning using talking stick model is higher than the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning metatradically with ordinary learning in fourth grade students SDN 31 Pasir Kandang. Therefore, the authors suggest that the learning model of talking stick can be an alternative for teachers to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes.
