ABSTRACT

 

This study aims to determine the effect of Two Stay-Two Stray model on student activity and learning outcomes in IPS learning. The type of this research is experimental research. The population in this study were all students of class V SDN 27 Sungai Sapih Padang, amounting to 52 people, the experimental class is V.A class is 26 people while the control class is V.B class is 26 people. The research instrument used was observation sheet of learning activity and test result data. Data analysis of learning activity was done by hypothesis test while study result with normality test, homogeneity of variance and hiipotesis test. The results of research on learning activity of IPS obtained the average of experimental class that is 60,11 and control class 44,11, whereas in result of study of  IPS obtained mean of experiment class that is 81,1 and control class 68,8. Result of hypothesis test on learning activity of IPS is obtained tcount> ttable with value 3.58> 2.01, while learning result of IPS thitung> ttable with value 3,39> 2,01. Then it can be concluded that there is influence of learning activity of IPS of experiment class student by using Two Stay-Two Stray model and there is influence of learning result of IPS student of experiment class by using Two Stay-Two Stray model.
