ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine "The Influence of Application of Problem Solving Learning Model to Students Learning Outcomes of grade IV SDN 02 Pasar Bukit Tapan Pesisir Selatan". The type of this research is experimental research with the population of fourth grade students of SDN 02 Pasar Bukit Tapan Pesisir Selatan which amounts to 40 students. In this study the class IVA is the experimental class and the class IVB is the control class. The result of the hypothesis test is done by t-test, because the data obtained is normal distribution and homogeneous variance. The result of the final test of the average score of Mathematics of the students by using the model of Problem Solving of the experimental class 74.4% and the control class grade 66.35% with the statistical test (α = 0,05), thitung = 2.65 and  t(0.95,38) = 1.68, then tcount> ttable, Obtained means reject H0 then the working  hypothesis H1 accepted. With the conclusion of mathematics learning result of grade 4 students of SDN 02 Pasar Bukit Tapan Pesisir Selatan applying Problem Solving learning model is better than student learning result of ordinary learning. Viewing from the Problem Solving Learning Model applied has a positive impact on students' mathematics learning outcomes, then teachers should be able to use this learning model in the future.
