Abstract

 

This research is motivated by the low learning result of Mathematics of V-A students of SD Negeri 08 Surau Gadang. This is because students pay less attention to the teacher in the learning process so that the students' learning outcomes are low. The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes by using the Course Review Horay model on Mathematics learning in V-A class at the State Elementary School 08 Surau Gadang Subdistrict of Nanggalo Padang. This type of research is a classroom action research. The study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings and one final cycle test. The subject of this research is the students of V-A class of SD Negeri 08 Surau Gadang Subdistrict of Nanggalo Padang, amounting to 26 people. The research instrument used is observation sheet of teacher activity and test of learning result. Based on the result of research, the percentage of teacher activity in cycle I was 69,445% and increased in cycle II to 86,11%, while the percentage of students who achieved learning completeness in cycle I was 50% and increased in cycle II to 84,62%. This means that the target of success indicators in this research is achieved. This research can be concluded that the learning of Mathematics by using Course Review Horay model can improve student learning result of V-A class of SD Negeri 08 Surau Gadang Subdistrict of Nanggalo Padang. Based on the results of this study, researchers suggest that teachers can use Course Review Horay model in learning to improve student learning outcomes.
