ABSTRACT

 

This research is based on the low creativity and student learning outcomes in the fourth grade mathematics learning at SDN 37 Siguhung Agam Regency. The lack of creativity is due to the lack of curiosity, the students' sense of diligence and confidence in learning. The low learning outcomes of students are caused by the lack of understanding of the students towards the material and the less serious in doing the test. The purpose of this study is to improve the creativity and learning outcomes of students of grade IV SDN 37 Siguhung Agam through application of modeling the way. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is implemented in two cycles. The data source is the fourth grader of SDN 37 Siguhung Kabupaten Agam. The instruments used were observation sheets of students' learning creativity, teacher activity sheets and learning outcomes. Based on the analysis of students 'learning creativity, the percentage of students' learning creativity in each cycle has increased. In the first cycle of students' creativity in curiosity 57.5% increased in the second cycle to 90%. The first cycle of student creativity in having a sense of diligy of 60% increased to 82.5% in the second cycle. In the first cycle the creativity of students in having self-esteem by 35% increased to 72.5% in the second cycle. Completeness of student learning outcomes also increased in the first cycle of 60% increased to 75% in the second cycle. From the data obtained can be concluded that there is an increase in creativity and mathematics learning outcomes of fourth graders SDN 37 Siguhung Agam through application of modeling model the way. The researcher's suggestion is that this learning model is implemented in Mathematics learning in Elementary School, with the consideration of selecting suitable material to be taught with modeling learning the way.
