This study aims to see the effect of the use of cooperative learning model of Snowball Throwing (Istarani, 2012: 92-94) with the conventional learning model on learning outcomes. The method of this research is experimental research method, this research population is all students of class IV SDN 56 Anak Air Padang in learning year 2016/2017. The data analyzed in this study is the result of learning to read the students on learning Indonesian in the can through objective tests. To describe reading used Dalman theory (2014), and Tarigan (2013). The mean value of learning outcomes in the experimental class showed that the higher yields were 81 and the average in the control class was 75.33. By testing the hypothesis using the t-test at the 0.05 level indicates a positive influence. Hypothesis testing using t-test shows thitung> ttable, with tcount value of 2.48 and ttable value equal to 1.70 at significant level significant 0,05. Then it can be concluded that the learning result of the students of Indonesian language learning which is taught with snowball throwing model has a positive effect from the learning result of Indonesian students using conventional learning model in the fourth grade students of SDN 56 Anak Air Padang.
