Peningkatan Aktivitas dan Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas V pada Pembelajaran Matematika Melalui Model Open Ended di SDN 08 Surau Gadang Padang

Abstract

 

This classroom action research is motivated by low activity and result of student learning in mathematics learning. The purpose of this research is to describe the increase of activity and learning outcomes of class V students in learning mathematics through Open Ended model at SDN 08 Surau Gadang Padang, this type of research is a classroom action research, with the subject of grade V SDN 08 Surau Gadang Padang, . The research was conducted on the even semester of the academic year 2016/2017, the research instrument used was the student activity sheet, the assessment sheet of learning outcomes in the student's cognitive domain. Based on the result of the research, the student activity on the aspect of expressed opinion on the first cycle obtained the average percentage of 42.58% obtained from the 1st meeting with the percentage of 37.03% and the second meeting with the percentage of 48.14%, increased in cycle II to 61, 10% obtained from meeting 1 with percentage 59,25% and meeting 2 with percentage 62,96%. Student activity on aspect of doing individual exercise in cycle I get average value 70,36% obtained from meeting 1 with percentage 44,44% and meeting 2 with percentage 51,85%, increase in cycle II become 83,33% Obtained from meeting 1 with percentage of 74,07% and meeting 2 with percentage 92,59%. While the student learning outcomes in the cognitive domain of students in the first cycle percentage of 59.26% completeness increased in cycle II to 85.18%. It can be concluded that Open Ended learning model can improve student activity and learning outcomes in learning V Mathematics class of SDN 08 Surau Gadang Padang.
