              This study uses a classroom action approach consisting of two cycles, and each cycle there are stages of planning stage implementation of steps Discovery approach and follow-up phase of Discovery approach in Science Lesson. The subjects of this research are the fourth graders of SD Negeri 30 DesaBaruSubdistrict Koto XI Tarusan. Assessments used in data collection are process assessment, outcome assessment, field recording format, analysis of Discovery approach approach from teacher and student aspect. The data obtained in this study were analyzed using the test and test mastery learning with Percentage. From the average value of science learning achievement using Discovery approach in cycle I and II has increased. The number of fourth grade students of SD Negeri 30 Baru Village is 35 people, the number of men 19 people and 16 women. Percentage value in Cycle I is the activity of teachers 72,9% (good), cognitive aspect 34% and 43%, affective aspect 69%. Likewise, the percentage of values in cycle II of meetings I and II also increased, where teacher activity 93,7 (very good), cognitive aspect 60% and 91%, affective aspect 80,5% thus can be concluded that science learning by using Discovery approach can improve the learning outcomes of fourth graders of SD Negeri 30 Desa. New Sub Koto XI TarusanPesisir Selatan Regency.Â
