PENGGUNAAN LKS DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VII SMPN 3 PADANG
Abstrak
SUMMARY
This research was conducted due to the result of student academic achievement of the grade students VII of SMPN 3 Padang whose odd semester examination academic year 2016/2017 was low. The lack of capabilities to analyze the mathematics problem was one of the factors. The alternative that can be applied to solve this problem is by using LKS in the teaching process for students of grade VII SMPN 3 Padang.
The purpose of this research is to find out the result of students academic achievement of those who used the LKS and without the LKS. The hypothesis of this research is the result of students academic achievement in learning mathematics will be better by using the LKS compared to those who do not use LKS.
This type of research is experiment with the population is all students of grade VII SMPN 3 Padang for academic year 2016/2017. Based on the result of this research, to prove the hypothesis by using U Mann-Whitney at the level =0,05. The calculation result from the last test is obtained P=0,0002 < 0,05. Thus, the hypothesis is accepted and can be summarized that the result of mathematics learning process of students who used the LKS is better than those who didn't use the LKS. Therefore, the researcher to use LKS as one of the learning source and alternative to increase the result for mathematics learning.
