ABSTRACT

This study aims to describe the difference of students' learning outcomes using the Reciprocal Teaching model using conventional learning. The type of this research is experimental research. The population in this study are all students of class V SDN 21 Sungai Bangek Kecamatan Koto Tangah Padang. To determine the experimental class and control class seen in the lowest class average, the experimental class is the VB class and the control class is the VA class. The data in this study were obtained by giving the final test to the two sample classes. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the students 'learning outcomes between the application of the Reciprocal Teaching learning model and the students' learning outcomes using conventional learning. From result of data analysis by using t test, obtained t count = 2,41. When compared with ttable = 2.02 then tcount > ttable so t arithmetic = 2.41 and ttable = 2.02. Thus the hypothesis used in the study accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the results of science learning class V students in SDN 21 Sungai Bangek Kecamatan Koto Tangah Padang using Reciprocal Teaching learning model using conventional model. Therefore, it is expected that teachers can use Reciprocal Teaching learning model as one of the models in science learning in all elementary school level students.
