Satiadarma (2000: 71), motivation is a tendency to behave selectively to a certain direction that is influenced by the existence of certain attitudes and this behavior will persist until the target behavior can be achieved. According to Slameto (2003: 222) argue that the learning material is a subject matter that is within the scope of the contents of the curriculum. The choice of instructional material should match the criteria size used to select the content.
This study uses descriptive analysis, which aims to provide a general overview. using the method of split-half method, to calculate the level of reliability used formulation speech (Product Moment) to know the reliability of half test, followed by the formula (Spearman Brown).
The results can be concluded in the level of achievement of students' intrinsic motivation score based on the following events, Very Low = 338 frequency (27%), Low = 647 frequency (51.6%), Medium (145) 11.6 %), High = 66 frequency (5.3%) and Very High = 58 frequency (4.6%). And extrinsic, based on the following values, Very Low= 233 frequency (15.7%), Low = 492 frequency (33.2%), Medium =
360 frequency (24.3%), High = 291 frequency (19.6%) and Very High = 106 frequency (7.2%). Being aware of the above results shows the level of achievement of intrinsic motivation scores and extrinsic students is still low.
