Designing Web-based Information System SMA PGRI 1 Padang.
Abstrak
SMA PGRI 1 is one of the private High Schools located in Padang City. Academic administration data processing system is still done manually. Such data processing systems are vulnerable to frequent errors. Inaccurate on the value of students such as teachers include the value of students in the book value, after that to calculate the value of student teachers still use the calculator so it takes a long time to enter the value in the report card. The purpose of this study to produce academic information system SMA PGRI 1 Padang web-based to facilitate all activities in school.
The design of this system uses the waterfall method, where in general the waterfall has steps that start from the analysis, the system design using modeling language Contex Diagram, Data Flow Diagram (DFD), and Unified Modeling Language (UML). The next stage is tested on the validator with test results ready to be tested. Trials are conducted with principals, teachers, and students stating that all the existing features of the system are running well.
The results of this design have been used as an academic information system that will be implemented in SMA PGRI 1 Kota Padang. The results of the program is a stage that describes the interface monitoring system when accessed by the user. This information system is made with web-based, which uses the programming language PHP and MySQL as a database for data storage.
This program can facilitate the work of teachers to provide value and see student learning outcomes and students can see the results of learning without having to wait for the division of report cards. The resulting program still has limitations so that the need to approach, maintenance and system development in the future to maintain the stability and effectiveness of the student monitoring process on the system.
