Information System Tracer Study Design based on Web at SMKN 8 Padang

Abstrak

SMKN 8 Padang still have difficulties on alumni trace and processing alumni data are still doing manually. The purposed of this research was to produce information system tracer study based on Web by using Pre Hypertext Processor (PHP) programing language. By using MySQL data to facilitate school do alumni trace and processing alumni data.

This designed system used waterfall method where the designed steps started from analysis, the designed system used modelling language Context Diagram, Data Flow Diagram (DFD), and Unified Modelling Language (UML). Coding program used programing language base on web, they are Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML), Pre Hypertext Processor (PHP), Cascading Style Sheet (CSS), Jquery and MySQL as the database.

 Testing process did by validity test system because of validator was as an expert who understood the system that build suitable to operate as it should be. Then validator did the test to alumni. The result got by 10 alumni who answer the questionnaire. They are alumni who worked 50%, enterpreneur 10%, students 20%, and jobless 10%.

This system helps school to trace alumni, collect alumni data, process alumni data, and this system can be accessed everywhere by using every device. The system still has deficiency and limitedness, in order that the further researcher need the to develop the system. The further researcher needs to develop the system. This program does not use data processing that is questions persentage by using likert scale.
