Application of TTW (Think Talk Write) Model in Information and Communication Technology Learning On Class IX students at SMPN 15 Padang.

Abstrak

Student activity in teaching and learning process in ICT subject is still low, that is students tend to be just as recipient only, students are not enthusiastic, students are still much less attention to the material submitted by teachers and look sleepy, students less interested in studying ICT and students less dare to say his opinion when asked by the teacher.  The learning process that occurs based on the observation that the author did seem that learning model that is used by the teacher are still conventional in nature. This led to the low level of student learning outcomes.
    This study aims to describe students' ICT learning outcomes using the TTW (Think Talk Write) Model In The Learning Of Information And Communication Technology In The Class IX Students In SMP N 15 Padang. To see the improvement of ICT learning outcomes of students whose learning using TTW (Think Talk Write) Model is as good as the ICT learning outcomes of students using Conventional Methods in grade IX students SMPN 15 Padang. The type of research used in this study is experimental with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design design. Sampling technique with Simple Random Sampling. The research instrument was essay test which amounted to 10 questions. To measure normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis using SPSS Program version 16.
    Based on the results of research conducted in class IX SMPN 15 Padang, shows that the results of ICT learning on conventional learning as well as compared to the model of learning Think Talk Write. This is due to the weakness of conventional learning that is learning activities centered on the teacher and students only accept the material of the teacher. Based on the results of hypothesized results of learning by using T-test obtained sig (2-tailed) 0.136> 0.05 then H0 accepted H1 rejected.
    It can be concluded that students use the TTW learning model as well as conventional learning. Think Talk Write one model model to increase the motivation of students to dare to express opinions in the final result of the discussion so that later can be an alternative that can be applied in the classroom.
