Learning outcomes have an important role in the learning process, for that teachers must design and choose a model of learning that can affect student learning outcomes for the better. One of the learning model that is expected to influence student learning outcomes to be better is model problem solving. According to Shoimin (2014: 135) says that "Problem Solving is a model of learner concentrating on teaching and problem-solving skills followed by strengthening skills".
This type of research is experimental research. Population in this research is all student / student of class IV in SDN 32 Muara Air Haji which amounted to 32 people. The samples were taken by purposive sampling technique which resulted in two sample classes consisting of one experimental class, the IVA class and one class were control class IVB. Data analysis was done by normality test, homogeneity, and hypothesis.
This study aims to determine the effect of problem solving model implementation On the learning outcomes of IPS students in grade IV SDN 32 Muara Air Haji. The result of the students' study using the problem solving learning model has an average of 82 learning outcomes and the students using conventional learning have an average of 64.88 from the analysis result obtained tct = 12.40 and ttable => 2.04 for the real level α = 0.05. Thus the price is tcount> ttable. Hence hypothesis H0 is rejected and H1 accepted.
So it can be concluded that there are differences in student learning outcomes between student learning problem solving model and the use of conventional learning in class IV SDN 32 Muara Air Haji Academic Year 2016/2017.
