The Study of Buzz Group Learning Method in Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi Class of Student Grade VIII SMP N 3 Padang
Abstrak
The result of study are always used as guidelines and highlight as the basic of the assessment of the successfull achievement of educational objectives. One way that can be used by teacher is apply learning that activate and develope the mindset of student to solve problems in learning. On the learning process, students listen to teacher explanation, taking notes and doing the exercise given by teacher. But, only about 25% of students that ask questions and express their opinions. This because students are less confident and less trained in asking and submitting responses. Based on the discussed above, the authors are interested to do research with the title “The Study of Buzz Group Learning Method in Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi Class of Student Grade VIII SMP N 3 Padangâ€
This research is an experimental research. The research design used was Pretest-Postest Control Group Design. Through this study, the results of student learning that apply learning Buzz Group compared with result of students learning that apply conventional learning in class VIII SMPN 3 Padang Year 2017/2018 Lesson. The selection of sample was done by random sampling. After passing the test of normality, homogeneity, and equality of means, the class chosen as the experimental class is VIII 1 and the control class is VIII 2. The instrument used is essay test.
Based on the statistical analysis (t-test), with SPSS application, the significance value of result of test is 0,057> α (α = 0,05). It means that student apply the Buzz Group learning method are as good as the student that apply conventional learning. In addition, based on the analysis of improvement of learning outcomes (index gain), note that sig value is 0,598> α (α = 0,05). It means that the improvement of learning outcomes by students applying the Buzz Group learning method is as good as the improvement of learning outcomes by students applying conventional learning. So it can be concluded that the result of study by student that apply the Buzz Group method as well as conventional learning in grade VIII SMPN 3 Padang. This can be seen that Sig (2-tailed): 2 <α 0.057 <0.05 it means that increase in student learning outcomes apply the Buzz Group method has same improvement with student learning outcomes using conventional learning.
