The Influence of the Application Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) Type Cooperative Model to the Students Mathematics Learning Outcomes in Grade V SDN 29 Ulak Karang Utara Padang

Abstrak

Education is a process where learners are expected to develop with the potential of the learner without imposing the will of the people, but the education is expected to develop by seeking conditions conducive to the development of children to develop the potential of the learners as optimal as possible. One model of learning which can be used teacher is a model of cooperative learning type Student Team Achievement Division (STAD).

The population in this study is all students of class V in SDN 29 Ulak Karang Utara Padang in the 2016/2017 school year which amounted to 60 people. The sample of this research is the students of VA class and students of VB SDN 29 Ulak Karang Utara Padang. The sampling technique used technique "Random Sampling” The type of data used in this study is quantitative data. Quantitative data from this research is data taken from the learning result of V students of SDN 29 Ulak Karang Utara Padang after doing research. The research instrument used in this research is the test of learning outcomes.

Student learning outcomes can be known through the final tests given to students during the research. The lessons are given to the two sample classes with different treatments. In the classroom experimental learning is implemented using the Student Team Achievement Division learning model and in the control class using conventional learning. Based on the data analysis, the students' learning achievement scores obtained the average of the two sample classes that is in the experimental class treated with the Student Team Achievement Division model has an average of 80.25 and in the control class using conventional learning with an average of 73.10 so that in the experimental class has a higher mean value than the control class.

Based on the results of research that has been done then it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes in grade V using Student Team Achievement Division learning model is better than the mathematics learning outcomes in grade V using the conventional method at SDN 29 Ulak Karang Utara Padang. Suggestion for class V teacher in learning mathematics to be able to use learning model of Student Team Achievement Division because it can improve student learning outcomes.
