Abstrak

Education Study Program of Informatics and Computer (PTIK) is one of the programs that exist in the Bung Hatta University, Study Program PTIK not have a library information system, this resulted in students still have difficulties to find the book. Collection of books in the mini library PTIK more and more but his books are not neatly arranged. The absence of the code book and the layout is unusual book to make the students difficult to find the desired book. A collection of book titles which are recorded in the big book (manual) so it took a long time to get the book and its safety is not guaranteed. The purpose of this study is to produce a library information system using Java Netbeans In Education Study Program of Informatics and Computer education FKIP University  Bung Hatta.

This system using the Waterfall method. Step Waterfall development (requirements Analysis system, design system, coding the program, testing the program). The actors involved in the system is the User and Admin. Actor admin can perform book search, the transaction of borrowing and repayment, fines, search the book data. Actor user (student) has a right of access to borrowing books and returning books. The design of the program this library using Java Netbeans MySQL.

The result can meet the service good and efficient against its members in search of information or reference about the data of the required books, as well as can help facilitate the library staff in the processing of data and preparation of reports quickly and accurately. With the library information system is expected the department can utilize the system to help the work in managing a book library in the department staff as well as the need for maintenance and care of software and hardware in the utilization of the computer system.
