Abstrak

The objective of this study isto describe the languageacquisitiononsentences utterance of children over the age of 3.0 - 3.6 years oldwho are studying in KasihBunda Preschool (PAUD). The aspect of study wasthe children’s language in uttering sentences. The theory used is the concept of first languageacquisition as proposed by Dardjowidjojo (2010).

This study is a qualitative research with descriptive method throughthe creation of factual and accurate description on facts, and thecharacteristics and relations between the observed and studied phenomenon. Throughoutthis method, the authorwas able to find the languageacquisition on sentenceutterance of children aged of 3.0 - 3.6 years old.

The object of this research were children who studied at school KasihBunda Preschool, Kapuh, Koto XI TarusanDistrict, Pesisir Selatan Regency, with  20 students as the research object. The research found that the children were able to utter declarative sentences,which amounted to 125 data, imperative sentences with 28 data, interrogative sentence with 44 data and exclamatory sentences with 36 data.

Therefore,the research concludes that the childrenaged3.0-3.6 years already have the ability to use declarative sentences, imperative sentences, interrogative sentences, and exclamatory sentences. This research suggests thatother language researchersto use this study as a reference for future research. The author also suggests that future researchersmake improvements in the subject of language, especially in the branches of linguistics.
