Abstrak

The research was based on the lack of activity in the learning process, because students are often in and out of class and told his friend that does not understand the lessons submitted by teachers. This is resulting in a lack of student learning activities in conducting group discussions, answer questions, and make a summary. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the strategy of playing the answers can increase the activity of students in group discussions, answer questions, and make a summary of the social studies learning. This research is a classroom action research. Subjects of this study were fifth grade students numbering 12 people. The research instrument was a teacher observation sheet activity, student activity sheets observation and tests student learning outcomes. The results show the average percentage of students in a discussion group activity in the first cycle is 43.18% increase to 72.72% in the second cycle, the activity of students in answering the questions in the first cycle is 47.34% increase to 78.02% in second cycle and make a summary of student activity in the first cycle is 60.60% increase to 82.19% in the second cycle. Average student achievement test first cycle was 41.66% increase to 75.00% in the second cycle. It can be concluded that an increase in student activity in cycle I and cycle II through playing strategy answers. Therefore, it is advisable for teachers to be able to use strategies to improve response Playing IPS students' learning activities.
