PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS PUISI MELALUI MODEL PICTURE AND PICTURE SISWA KELAS V SDN 005 BANJAR GUNTUNG KABUPATEN KUANTAN SINGINGI RIAU
Abstrak
Students’ low ability in writing poetry in poetry writing learning process in SDN 005 (State Elementary School 005) Banjar Guntung, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau is caused by its method which is emphasized on the theory through lectures so that students’ ability to appreciate and write a poetry is not maximal yet. This research was aimed to describe the increase of fifth grade students’ ability on writing poetry in State Elementary School 005 Banjar Guntung, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau by using “Picture and Picture†method. It was class action research (PTK). The research data was gained by using observation sheet of teacher and student, and the student answer sheet. The results of the research in each cycle show the increase of students’ ability in writing poetry. In pre-writing step, students’ ability increase 18, 75 %, from 56,25% in cycle I to 75% in cycle II. In post-writing step, students’ ability increase 24,28%, from 50,72% in cycle I to 75% in cycle II. Based on the result of data analysis, it can be concluded that the use of “Picture and Picture†model can increase fifth grade students’ ability on writing poetry in State Elementary School 005 Banjar Guntung, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau.
