PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV MELALUI METODE DRILL PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPA DI SDN 047/XI SUNGAI PENUH

Abstrak

The  research was motivated  by  the  low  activity  of  students  in  science  teaching  fourth
grade at SDN 047/XI Full River. Contributing factor is the learning method used is not optimal.
One way  that  can  be  used  to  overcome  the  low  activity  of  student  learning  is  to  use  the Drill
method. The purpose of this study is to describe the increase in activity through the fourth grade
students in learning science Drill method in SDN 047/XI Full River. The research instrument that
observation  of  student  activity  sheets,  observation  sheets  implementation  aspects  of  teacher
learning  and  achievement  test.  The  results  showed  an  increase  in  activity  of  learning  science
using the Drill. Student activity at the time of learning, students were asking questions increased
from 51.07% to 77.27% first cycle to the second cycle, students are issued an opinion increased
from  52.37%  to  79.54%  first  cycle  to  the  second  cycle  ,  students  who  perform  experiment
increased  from  55.62%  to  84.04%  first  cycle  to  the  second  cycle,  the  students who wrote  the
report remains of 100%  in  the first cycle  to 100%  in  the second cycle.  It can be concluded  that
science learning through the use of methods to increase Drill student learning activities. Based on
the  above  explanation  the  researchers  suggest  that  teachers  can  use  in  the  Drill  method  of
teaching and learning activities to enhance students' learning activities.
