The Influence Of Mind Mapping Learning Model On Learning Outcomes Of Ips In Class V Sdn 51 Kuranji Padang
Abstrak
Social studies  is one of the lessons taught in elementary school. Susanto (2016: 07) stated that "Social studies in elementary school teaches the concepts of the essence of social science to form students to become good citizens". The condition of students at the time of learning is still often the students go in and out when the teacher delivers the subject matter, there are still students who make a fuss when the teacher explains the subject matter, not yet seen the teacher using a student-centered learning model. Based on this background the author is interested in conducting research entitled " The Influence Of Mind Mapping Learning Model On Learning Outcomes Of Social StudiesIn Class V SDN 51 Kuranji Padang".
              This type of research is an experimental study with the design of "posttes only contro".The independent variable in this study is the application of mind mapping learning model while the dependent variable is the result of social studies learning.The population of this study were all of students in class V  SDN 51 Kuranji Padang in the 2017/2018 school year as many as 40 students were selected as samples determined by total sampling technique.The data analyzed in this study is the score of cognitive learning outcomes of social studies collected through objective tests.
              The results showed that there was an effect of Mind Mapping learning model on the results of social studies learning in class V SDN 51 Kuranji Padang. This can be seen from the acquisition of the average value of the experimental class is higher than the acquisition of the average value of the control class (experiment = 82.5> control = 69.3). In the price statistical test (t count = 2.49> t table = 2.02) with the level (α = 0.05) the H1 hypothesis is accepted.
              From these data it can be concluded that the Mind Mapping learning model affects the results of social studies learning in class V SDN 51 Kuranji Padang. Thus the Mind Mapping learning model is expected to be used in the learning process to give a better influence on student learning outcomes.
