Abstrak

Civics is one of the lessons taught in elementary school. Civics Education is a subject that is used as a vehicle to develop and preserve noble and moral values rooted in the culture of the Indonesian nation Susanto, (2014: 225). When PKn learning takes place in one direction, students only accept what the teacher explains. When the teacher asks students to ask students only to be quiet and when the teacher gives training, some students do not work and many imitate. This makes the teacher have difficulty in knowing whether students have understood or not about the learning material, especially in Civics learning. Based on this background the writer is interested in conducting research entitled "The Influence of Group Investigation Learning Models on Student Learning Outcomes of Class V Students at SDN 22 Alai Pesisir Selatan.               This type of research is an experimental study with the "Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design" design. The independent variable in this study is the application of the Group Investigation learning model while the dependent variable is the learning outcomes of Civics. The population of this study were all fifth grade students of SDN 22 Alai Pesisir Selatan, in the 2017/2018 school year. As many as 50 students were selected as samples determined by Random Sampling technique. The data analyzed in this study is the score of Civics learning outcomes in the cognitive domains collected through objective tests.               The results showed that there was an effect of the Group Investigation learning model on PKn learning outcomes of grade V students at SDN 22 Alai Pesisir Selatan. This can be seen from the acquisition of the average value of the experimental class is higher than the acquisition of the average value of the control class (experiment = 79.26> control = 70.83). In the statistical test of price (tcount = 1.87> t table = 1.676) with the level (α = 0.05) the H1 hypothesis is accepted.               From these data it can be concluded that the Group Investigation learning model influences students' learning outcomes in class V SDN 22 Alai Pesisir Selatan. Thus the Group Investigation learning model is expected to be used in the learning process to give a better influence on student learning outcomes.
