PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPS MELALUI METODE THE LEARNING CELL DI SDN 50 PULAI KABUPATEN PESISIR SELATAN

Abstrak

The background of this research is the lack of  IV grades student’s activity for IPS subject in SDN 50 Pulai Pesisir Selatan regency. One of the ways to overcome this problem is the learning cell method implementation. The purpose of this research is to describe student’s capability in questioning, answering and arguing in IPS subject learning through the learning cell method. This research is class measuring research that consists of two cycles. Subject in this research is 28 students of IV class. Instruments in this research are observation sheet of teacher’s activity, observation sheet of student’s activity, and field report. Based on results, it is acquired that average percentage from observers in first cycle to questioning indicator is 56.28%, and it is improved to 71.42% in second cycles; answering indicator percentage in first cycle is 61.76% and improved to 82.14% in second cycles; arguing indicator percentage in first cycle is 50.85% and improved to 71.42% in second cycles. Based on results, it can be conclude that the learning cell method can improve student’s activity in IPS subject learning for students of IV class SDN 50 Pulai Pesisir Selatan regency. Based on this research, it is suggested for teacher to use the learning cell method to increase student’s activity.
