“Konflik Batin Tokoh Utama dalam Novel Mereka Bilang Aku Gila Karya Ry Kusumaning tyas

Abstrak

According to Atmazaki (2007: 18), basically the word literature is expressed is not literature as understood by the average literary expert. This is more because literature according to them is a beauty (literature is a beautiful work) without a clear definition of beauty it self. In addition, perhaps, also because there have been various schools in the development of art in a particular era and they call literature according to certain schools.

The purpose of this study of this study is to describe what inner conflicts experienced by the main characters in the novel Mereka Bilang Aku Gila.

            Based on the data analysis and discussion, the inner conflict of the main character contained in the novel entitled Mereka Bilang Aku Gila by Ry Kusumaningtyas found 43 inner conflicts, namely (1) individuals with 14 data, (2) individuals with 22 families, and (3) individuals with 7 community data. Based on this analysis and discussion, there were 12 figures involved, consisting of 1 main character, namely Yuyun and 11 additional figures, namely Yangkakukung, Yangti, Father, Mama, In-laws Yuyun, Andy, Budhi, Priya, Mas Alex, Mas Harry, and dr. Wahyudi.
           

The conclusion of this study is that the first inner conflict is an individual conflict with oneself, Yuyun feels all the problems between oneself both in feelings, behavior, family relationships and Yuyun's increasingly complex social relationships. Yuyun's desire to also commit suicide due to life issues that he had to bear alone. The second inner conflict is an individual conflict with the family, Yuyun feels the unfair treatment obtained by his own family. Wasted and not cared for and blasphemous from the family made Yuyun suffer more. Husband's abusive treatment often hurt Yuyun's heart and physicality. Plus, Mama Yuyun never arrived at Yuyun as his biological child. The third inner conflict is an individual conflict with the community, Yuyun's work environment becomes a scourge for him. The betrayal of his best friend, Priya was very hurt. He also had to endure negative views of his environment, both insults, curses, fear, injury, loss, despair, disappointment, and all the worst feelings he felt.
