The Development of Mathematics Learning Module with Guided Finding for 5th Grade Students of State Elementary School 40 Sungai Lareh
Abstrak
The background of this research is the lack of inventory of mathematics learning books and the prohibition of the use of Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) at school. This research is aimed to develop mathematics learning module with guided finding for 5th grade students in State Elementary School 40 Sungai Lareh. According to Nasution (2013:205), “module is a complete unit which stands alone for a circuit of learning activities which is arranged to help students to reach some destinations and it is specifically and clearly definedâ€.
The type of this research is Research and Development(R & D). The development procedure uses 4-D which is modified into 3-D. The steps conducted are defining, designing, and developing. Questionnaires validity are done by 2 lecturers and the teacher of 5th grade of State Elementary School 40 Sungai Lareh and also the practicality is done by the teacher and 26 5th grade students of State Elementary School 40 Sungai Lareh.
Based on the result of validation by the validators, the developed module gets percentage 88,8% with valid criteria from material aspect, presentation aspect and language aspect and readability. The result of the teacher’s practicality gets 90,3% and 91,2% for the students with very practical criteria from the ease of the use of module aspect, the needed time, the module attractiveness and easy to be presented.
Based on the validation result and the practicality of the development of mathematics learning module with guided finding, it is concluded that the developed module is valid and very practical to be used in mathematics learning for 5th grade students.
