The Influence of Learning Talking Stick Model on Student Results of Class V on Pkn Subject In SDN 01 Lubuk Alung

Abstrak

Citizenship Education is the subject used as a vehicle to develop and preserve the noble and moral values rooted in Indonesian culture (Susanto 2013: 225). Citizenship Education is a social subject that aims to form and foster good citizens, ie citizens who know, willing and able to do good (Ruminiati 2007: 1.25). Teachers play an important role in guiding students to become good citizens. Therefore, to educate and teach is needed a professional teacher. However, based on the results of observations in SDN 01 Lubuk Alung, the method used by teachers in the learning process is the lecture method, question and answer and giving the task so that students' activeness to ask and answer in learning is not optimal. Therefore one of the solutions to improve student learning outcomes, namely by using Talking Stick learning model in the process of learning Civics.

The type of research used is experimental research with the population of this study are all students of grade V SDN 01 Lubuk Alung as many as 70 students. Which is divided into three rombel that is class V-A, V-B and class V-C. While the sample in this research is done by using purposive sampling technique, and got class V-C as control class and V-B as experiment class. The data analyzed in this study is the score of learning outcomes of Civics on cognitive aspects collected through objective tests.

The result of data analysis with hypothesis test using t-test obtained tcount = 2.77 and ttable = 2.017. So, thitung> ttable. so that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected which means that there is influence of Talking Stick learning model toward Civic learning result in class V SDN 01 Lubuk Alung.

Based on the results of research obtained it can be concluded that there is influence of learning model Talking Stick on the results of learning Civics students class V SDN 01 Lubuk Alung. For that Talking Stick learning model can be applied when implementing the learning process of Civics
