The Influence of the Application of Mind Mapping Model in Indonesian Language Learning to Students' Learning Outcomes in Grade IV of SDN 05 Jaruai
Abstrak
Education is a process to develop all aspects of the human personality which includes knowledge, values, attitudes and skills. Education aims to achieve the personality of a good individual. However, based on observations and interviews at SDN 05 Jaruai, Bungus Teluk Kabung District, Padang City, in learning, teachers tended to use the lecture and question and answer methods so that learning was less effective, so the efforts made by researchers in overcoming these problems were applying the Mind Mapping Learning model in the language learning process Indonesia              Indonesian is one of the important material taught in elementary school. According to Susanto (2014: 241), that one of the skills expected by students from elementary school is good language skills, because Language is the most important capital for humans. In teaching Indonesian, there are four language skills that must be possessed by a student, these skills, among others: listening, speaking, reading and writing. This model implements cooperative learning which emphasizes students' independence and ability to solve problems. According to Shoimin (2014: 105), "Learning model is a creative way for each student to produce ideas, record what is learned, or plan new tasks.
              The type of research used was experimental research with the population of this study were all students of SDN 05 Jaruai Teluk Kabung Kota District in the 2017/2018 school year. While the sample of this study is the fourth grade students of SDN 05 Jaruai Bungus Subdistrict Teluk Kabung Padang City as many as 50 students, which is divided into two classes, namely class IVA and class IVB, using a random sampling class IVA as an experimental class and class IVB as a class control. The data analyzed in this study is the score of cognitive and psychomotor Indonesian language learning outcomes.
              Based on the results of the study obtained the average value of the experimental class is 83.40 and 74.80 in the control class, it can be seen from the results of the data analysis that has been carried out obtained t0 (2,396)> t (2,012), then the hypothesis is accepted.
              Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Mind Mapping model on the learning outcomes of Indonesian students in grade IV SDN 05 Jaruai, Bungus Subdistrict, Teluk Kabung, Padang City.
