The Application Of The Guessing Word Model In IPA Learning At Class III SD Negeri 09 Surau Gadang Padang.

Abstrak

This research in the background by the low student learning result because the learning model used by the teacher is not right. For this reason, the teacher is required to be able to apply the guessing word model in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to describe the differences in students' learning result between applying the guessing word model to the conventional method in class III SD Negeri 09 Surau Gadang Padang.

This type of research is experimental research with the design used is Randomized Control-Group Posttest Only Design, in which the total population of 60 students is all of students class III SD Negeri 09 Surau Gadang Padang. Which is divided into two groups namely class IIIA and class IIIB. The sampling technique in this study is by Total Sampling, then to determine the experimental class and control class is done by Random Sampling, it is obtained the class IIIB as the experimental class and class IIIA as the control class. The data analyzed in this study is a matter of testing science learning result on cognitive aspects collected through objective questions.

The results of data analysis by testing the hypothesis using the t-test, obtained tcount = 2,269 and ttable = 1.672, so that tcount > ttable so that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected means that there is a significant difference between the experimental class student learning result that apply the guessing word to class controls that apply conventional learning methods.

Based on the results of the research obtained, it can be concluded that there are significant differences in science learning result of students in the experimental class and control class in the cognitive level of knowledge (C1) and understanding (C2) through the guesswork learning model, so this model can be applied and developed to achieve optimal learning outcomes in the school.
