Influence of Cooperative Learning Model Type Student Teams Achievement Division to Activities and Learning Outcomes of Class III Mathematics Students at SDN 09 Surau Gadang Padang.

Abstrak

Education is a determinant that our nation can move forward and compete with other countries. Already many efforts made by the government to improve the quality of education in Indonesia, especially the quality of mathematics education in schools. Teachers as the spearhead in the implementation of education is a very influential in the learning process. However, based on the results of observations in SDN 09 Surau Gadang Padang, the model used by teachers in the learning process is a conventional learning model so that student activity in learning is not optimal. Therefore one of the solutions to improve student learning outcomes, namely by using cooperative learning model type Student Teams Achievement Divisions in the process of learning Mathematics. The type of this research is experimental research with population of all students class III SDN 09 Surau Gadang Padang consisting of two classes. To determine the experiment and control class conducted by lottery and chosen class IIIa as experimental class and class IIIb as the control class. Data analyzed in this study is the score of learning outcomes Mathematics on cognitive aspects collected through objective tests and describe the development of student activities during the applied model of cooperative learning type Student Teams Achievement Divisions are collected through the observation sheet. Students activity in class III SDN 09 Surau Gadang Padang during applied learning model Student Teams Achievement Divisions experienced a varied increase that is, 55,33%, 54,67%, 57,33%, 63,53%, 56,67%, and 60 , 2% and the result of data analysis with hypothesis test using t-test, obtained t arithmetic = 1.85 and t table = 1.65, so t arithmetic> t table so H1 accepted and H0 rejected which means that there is influence of learning model cooperative type Student Teams Achievement Division on activities and learning outcomes Mathematics students class III SDN 09 Surau Gadang Padang. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that there is influence of cooperative learning model type Student Teams Achievement Division on activity and learning outcomes Mathematics students class III SDN 09 Surau Gadang Padang so that this model can be applied and developed to achieve optimal learning outcomes in the school .
