The Influence Of The Application Of Open Ended Learning Model To The Learning Outcomes Of Students Of Grade V SDN 55 Air Pacah Padang

Abstrak

Mathematics is a subject taught at every level of education in Indonesia from elementary school (SD), junior high school (SMP), high school (SMA) up to college to equip students with logical thinking skills, analysis, systematic, critical , creative as well as ability to cooperate. Such capability is needed so that students can acquire, manage, and utilize information to gradually live in an ever-changing state. However, based on observations in SDN 55 Air Pacah Padang, the model used by teachers in the learning process is the lecture and question and answer method. Therefore, one of the solutions to improve student learning outcomes, namely by using Open Ended learning model in the process of learning Mathematics.
The type of research used is experimental research with this research population is all students of class V SDN 55 Air Pacah Padang as many as 45 students. Which is divided into two rombel that is class VA and Class VB. Sampling technique in this research by Total Sampling, then by using random sampling technique got VA class as experiment class and class VB as control class. The data analyzed in this study is the score of mathematics learning outcomes on cognitive aspects collected through objective tests.
The result of data analysis with hypothesis test using t-test, obtained tcount = 3.98 and ttable = 1.67, so thitung > ttable so H1 accepted and H0 rejected which means that there is influence of applying of Open Ended learning model to result of learning of student V SDN 55 Air Pacah Padang. The results of the study conducted at the final test in the experimental class and the control class obtained an average value in the experimental class that is equal to 79.37 and the average value in the control class is equal to 66.43.
Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that there is influence of the application of Open Ended learning model to the learning outcomes of VII students of grade V SDN 55 Air Pacah Padang, so that this model can be applied and developed to achieve optimal learning outcomes in the school.
