the influence of circuit learning learning model on social studies learning outcomes of fifth grade students in SDN 52 parupuk tabing kota padang
Abstrak
IPS as an education program which is a whole which essentially concerns humans in the physical natural environment, as well as in their social environment. In general, teachers only use lecture learning. Lecture learning intended here is a learning model that is familiar and is often used by teachers in the learning process in the classroom. To overcome these problems the researcher will use circuit learning models in social studies subjects in class V SDN 52 Parupuk Tabing Padang. Based on this, the researcher was interested in conducting an experimental study entitled "The Effect of Circuit Learning Learning Models on Social Studies Learning Outcomes in Class V SDN 52 Parupuk Tabing Padang".
Learning can be said to be the result of memory, cognition and metacognition that influence experience. This is what happens when a person is learning, and this condition also often occurs in everyday life, because learning is a natural process of everyone. science that examines various social and humanities disciplines as well as basic human activities that are scientifically packaged in providing insight and deep understanding to students, especially at the primary and secondary levels. circuit learning is not just a teaching model, but also a model of thoughts and feelings with increasing and repeating patterns. Learning outcomes are changes that occur in students, both those related to cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects as a result of learning activities
This type of research is an experimental study with the "Pretest-Posttest Only Control Group Design" design. The independent variable in this study is the model of circuit learning and conventional learning models, while the dependent variable is the learning outcomes of social studies. The population in this study were all fifth grade students of SDN 52 Parupuk Tabing Padang in the 2017/2018 school year consisting of 2 classes. The sample in this study were students of class V.A as many as 26 students and students of V.B class as many as 26 students. The technique in sampling is the total Simple Random sampling method. The data taken in this study were students' social studies learning outcomes obtained from the final test in an objective form.
The results showed the average value of the experimental class was higher than the control class (experimental class average value of 75.2 and control class average value of 64.4). Normality test was obtained in experimental class L <Lt (0,0900 <0,1706) and control class (0,1565 <0,1706) with real level α = 0,05. In the homogeneity test the data is said to be homogeneous because Fcount <Ftable (1.24 <1.95). With the hypothesis test level obtained t count> t table where (4.53> 2.01), as evidenced by the significant level (a) = 0.05, the hypothesis H1 is accepted.
Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there is an effect of circuit learning model on social studies learning outcomes of class V students in Parupuk Tabing SDN 52, thus circuit learning model is expected to be used in the learning process to give a better influence on student learning outcomes.
