Character Education Dictions and Values in Ebiet G Ade's Song Lyrics on Celestial Albums -2001

Abstrak

Lyrics of songs that are essentially a language in its preparation can not be separated from the beauty of music, such as the rhythm of songs, melodies and harmony. One of the legendary song poets, Ebiet G Ade, who is usually known as a talented musician. Ebiet G Ade is a poet who has created a lot of songs, one of them is the Celestial-2001 album on the album, which uses figurative words so that it has diction or choice of words used to deliver song lyrics. In addition to using diction, Ebiet G Ade also determines or applies the values contained in the song, one of which is the value of character education. The value of character education is education to shape one's personality through ethical education. The theory in this study uses the theory of Gory Keraf (2010) and the theory of Syamsul Kurniawan (2013). The purpose of this study was to (1) describe diction in Ebiet G Ade's song lyrics on the Langit-2001 album and (2) describe the value of character education in Ebiet G Ade's song lyrics in the Langit-2001 album. Data collection techniques used were: (1) reading, understanding Ebiet G Ade's song lyrics on the Langit-2001 album, (2) marking the connotation or denotation diction on Ebiet G Ade's song lyrics on the Langit-2001 album, (3) marking song lyrics that show the value of character education, (4) include parts of the song lyrics marked in the data collection format. This study uses data analysis techniques, namely: (1) to clarify the data that has been found, (2) paraphrase Ebiet G Ade's song lyrics in the Langit Bahasa-2001 album, (3) describe the components of diction on the Ebiet G Ade song in the Heaven-Language album. 2001, (4) describes the value of character education in the Ebiet G Ade song in the Celestial Language album 2001, and (5) draws conclusions from the results of the analysis. Based on data analysts and discussion can be summarized as follows: first, diction from song lyrics found diction meaning connotation. Secondly, the value of character education, found nine values of character education, namely the value of character education disililn, hard work, friendly / communicative, religious, responsibility, honest, social care, environmental care, and democratic. The conclusion of this study shows that the lyrics of Ebiet G Ade album Langit Langit 2001 use a lot of connotations that are meaning connotations and the value of the dominant character education found is the value of religious character education.
