Abstrak

There were students’ learning outcomes under the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) which were the background of this study. It caused there was still learning centered on the teacher and lack of student’s activity during in the learning process. This case can be overcome by the implementation of a mind-mapping based creative problem solving learning model.

The type of this research was experimental research. Students of class X MIPA at SMAN 4 Solok in academic year 2017/2018 were as the population of this research. The sample consisted of experimental and control class. The sample was taken by purposive sampling. Then, X MIPA 1 was chosen as the experimental class, and X MIPA 3 as the control class.

Based on the data analysis, the students who got applying the creative problem solving model based on Mind Mapping tend to increase from each meeting and based on the data of mathematics learning outcomes in the sample class by testing the hypothesis to the level. It showed that the hypothesis was accepted.

Based on the findings described, it can be concluded the learning outcomes obtained by applying Mind Mapping based creative problem solving models were better that the learning outcomes with applying the conventional learning. Then, the researcher suggested that mathematic teachers can apply the Mind-Mapping-based creative problem solving model on mathematic learning as an effort to make learning more active, and the students’ learning outcomes will be better.
