Contribution of Leg Muscle Explosion and Eye-Hand Coordination with Jump Smash Skills Badminton Athletes PB Sepakat Jaya Padang Pariaman
Abstrak
The research problem is the weakness of athletes doing jump smash skills such as: low jumps, shutllecocks out of the field, shuttlecocks about the net, the fall of the shuttlecock is not on target. This study was conducted to determine the contribution of leg muscle explosive power and eye-hand coordination with the skill of jump smash PB badminton athlete Sepakat Jaya Padang Pariaman District.
This type of research is correlational research. The study population was PB Badakat Jaya athletes in Padang Pariaman Regency, totaling 30 people. The research sample was all athletes, namely 30 athletes with saturated sampling sampling technique. To measure the variable explosive power of leg muscles used vertical power jump test. To measure the eye-hand coordination variable, the ballwerfen und-fangen test was used. To measure jump smash skills, the modified jump samsh skill test is used. Data analysis techniques using Pearson product moment correlation analysis with a level of confidence (significance) 0.05.
The results of the study: (1) There was a contribution of leg muscle explosive power of 22.4% with the skill of jump smash of badminton athletes PB Sepakat Jaya. (2) There is a contribution of eye-hand coordination of 20.1% with the skill jump smash of Badminton athletes PB Sepakat Jaya's. (3) There is a contribution of leg muscle explosive power and eye-hand coordination together at 39.6% with jump smash skill of Badminton athletes PB Sepakat Jaya's.
Conclusion of The Research: Variable X1-Y Leg Muscle Explosive Power has a significant contribution to the jump smash skill, X2-Y hand eye coordination has a significant contribution to jump smash, variables (X1, X2, and Y, explosive leg muscles and Hand eye coordination has a significant contribution to the ability of jump smash of Badminton athletes PB Sepakat Jaya's.
