The use of kinship words in the village of Lubuk Sanai, District XIV Koto, Mukomuko District, Bengkulu Province
Abstrak
The greeting words are words that someone uses to greet the person they are talking to. Based on the observations of the researchers, in using the regional greeting words in Lubuk Sanai Village, XIV Koto District, Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province had used many greeting words that were not from their home regions, but used greeting words from other regions. This influence was due to the presence of migrants, such as the Javanese, Medan, Minang and other local communities who had settled in Mukomuko Regency, indirectly affecting the words of the local people in Mukomuko, one of them in Lubuk Sanai Village. Apart from the influence of the migrant community, social media also participated in influencing the way of looking at the community in Lubuk Sanai Village, one of which was to use the word greeting.
This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. This study uses data and references to events that actually occur in the present, both in terms of change and the accuracy of the references that are still valid today. Moleong (2010: 4) describes qualitative methodology as a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or oral words from people and observable behavior. To analyze the greeting words used by the community in Lubuk Sanai Village, District XIV Koto, Mukomuko District, Bengkulu Province.
Based on the findings of this study, there are eighty two greeting words, including: core kinship words totaling twenty four greeting words, namely: bak, bah, ayah, uda, cik, we, ngah, tih, uwo, ne, ingah, buyuang, adik, sebut nama, supik, mas, ibu, ibuk, abang, dodo, taci, ayuk, bunda, and papa. While the extended kinship words numbered fifty eight greeting words, namely: dang, moyang, buyut, puyang, nek, ayek, nenek, moyang, muyang, muniang, dai, datuk, non, andong, nun, uwan, induk, udo, tih, pak tuo, pak ngah, pak cik, cung, uda, pak uwo, mak nah, mak ne, mak tih, etek, ibung, bucik, mak cik, mandak, mak uwo, adih, uwo, aek, mak, cucik, bak, ngah, ne, sebut nama, nah, kandak, uni, buyuang, supik, om, dodo, taci, mak neang, enda, mak ngah, ayuk, abang, and adik.
Based on data analysis and discussion, two forms of greeting words were found, namely: (1) the form of the core kinship word and (2) the extended form of the greeting kinship. From the two forms of greeting words, there are several forms of greeting words that have changed from the original form to the form of greeting used by the people of Lubuk Sanai Village, District XIV Koto, Mukomuko Regency at this time. Changes in the form of greeting words were seen in informants aged 20> - <50 years who used greetings from outside areas, which resulted in the loss of various forms of native greeting words in the village of Lubuk Sanai, District XIV Koto, Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province.
