Correlation of Leg Muscle Explosion Power and Eye-Foot Coordination with Shooting Ability men’s athletes of the Muspan Soccer School U-15th Padang

Abstrak

The problem in this study is the low shooting capability possessed by  men’s athletes of the  Muspan Soccer School U-15^th  Padang. This study aims to reveal the relationship between leg muscle explosive power and eye-foot coordination on athletic shooting abilities of the men’s athletes of the  Muspan Soccer School U-15^th  Padang.

This type of research is correlational with a population of 76 athletes. Samples were taken by purposive sampling, sampling techniques use with certain considerations. So the sample in this study were players aged 12-15 years totaling 32 people. Data is collected by testing the sample. The results of data collection were analyzed by correlational techniques with a significant level of α = 0.05.

The results of the analysis (1) there is a significant relationship between the leg muscle explosive power to the shooting ability of athletes of the  Muspan Soccer School U-15^th  Padang, r_hitung 0.741> r_table 0.349 and obtained r_hitung 6.07> t table 1.693. (2) There is a significant relationship between eye-to-foot coordination on the ability of shooting athletes of the son of Muspan Padang U-15 Football School (SSB) r count 0.672> r_table 0.349 and r_hitung is 4.94> r_table 1.693. (3) There is a significant relationship between leg muscle explosive power and joint eye-foot coordination on the ability of shooting athletes of the  Muspan Soccer School U-15^th  Padang with r_hitung 0.853> rtable 0.349 and r_hitung 40.33> F_table 3, 33.

The conclution of the results: Variable (X1-Y): There is a significant relationship between leg muscle explosive power and shooting ability, 2) variables (X2-Y) have a significant relationship between ankle coordination with shooting ability, 3) variables (X1, X2, and Y , there was a significant relationship between leg muscle explosive power and ankle coordination on shooting ability athletes of the  Muspan Soccer School U-15^th  Padang.
