Application of Using Team Quiz Model in Learning Science in Class V SD Negeri 08 Enam Lingkung

Abstrak

Learning Natural Sciences (IPA) is a collection of knowledge that is arranged systematically, and in its users is generally limited to natural phenomena (Wahyana 2010: 136). Learning science is indicated by formulating problems, drawing conclusions, so that they are able to think critically. Based on observations at the SD Lingkung Enam Lingkung 08, it was obtained data that when learning took place it was seen that students were less active in the learning process, students were less active in questioning about the material being studied, the classroom atmosphere and many students chatting with their peers during the process learning. Therefore, one solution to improve student learning outcomes, namely by using Team Quiz learning model in the learning process of Natural Sciences.

 

The type of research used was experimental research with the population of this study were all students of grade V SD Negeri 08 Enam Lingkung as many as 39 students. Divided into two groups, namely VA and VB. While the sample in this study was carried out using the Total Sampling technique, and obtained the VA class as the experimental class and VB as the control class. The data analyzed in this study is the score of learning outcomes of Natural Sciences on cognitive aspects collected through objective tests.

               The results of data analysis by testing the hypothesis using the t-test obtained thitung = 14.42 and t (0.05; 37) = 2.576. So, tcount> t (0.05; 37) then the accepted hypothesis is Team Quiz Learning Model has an effect on the learning outcomes of Natural Sciences students of grade V SD Negeri 08 Enam Lingkung.                              Based on the results of the research obtained, it can be concluded that there is an effect of Team Quiz learning model on the learning outcomes of Natural Sciences students of grade V SD Negeri 08 Enam Lingkung. For this reason Team Quiz learning models can be applied when implementing the Natural Science learning process.
