Effect of Learning Models on Think Talk Write and Hand Puppet Media on Speaking Skills in Class V SDN 43 Sungai Sapih

Abstrak

               Primary school is the starting place for a child to run the formal education process. Primary school education is different from other levels of education, both in terms of student characteristics, learning process, and methods used by teachers in learning. In elementary school students are required to study five main science fields, one of which is Indonesian. Indonesian language is one of the subjects that are prioritized and is the basis of support in other subjects. To realize all of that, the teacher must be able to raise the creativity of students well in the process of learning Indonesian so that student learning outcomes are in line with what is expected.

               The type of research used by researchers is quantitative research. According to Sugiyono (2009: 8), "quantitative research methods can be interpreted as research methods based on the philosophy of positivism, used to examine certain populations or samples, data collection using research instruments, quantitative data analysis / statistics".

               The average of the final test results of students in the experimental class 76.7 and control class 60, 68 with the Hypothesis Test level obtained thitung> t table where (3.05> 2.02), as evidenced by the significant level (a) = 0 05 this means that there is a significant difference in the value of students' speaking skills using the Think Talk Write and Hand Puppet Media learning models on speaking skills in class V SDN 43 Sungai Sapih Padang.

               Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the talk writing writing learning model and hand puppet media on speaking skills in class V SDN 43 Sungai Sapih Padang, so that the model can be developed to improve students' speaking skills and use with the media in order to increase student interest in the learning process.
