The Influenceof Cooperative Learning Model of Think Pairs Type Share In Science Learning of IV Grade Students of SDN 05 Jaruai Districts Bungus Teluk Kabung Padang City
Abstrak
Learning outcomes have an important role in the learning process. For this reason the teacher must design and choose a learning model that can affect student learning outcomes for the better. One learning model that is expected to be able to influence student learning outcomes to be better is the Think Pairs Share (TPS) learning model. According to Istarani (2012: 67), learning with Think Pairs Share (TPS) is that learning begins with questions to be considered by students and asks to pair the results discussed with all pairs in the class. This study aims to determine whether the learning outcomes of science in fourth grade students of SDN 05 Jaruai, Bungus Teluk Kabung Subdistrict, Padang City by using the Think Pairs Share model is better than the science learning outcomes of the fourth grade students of SDN 05 Jaruai, Bungus Teluk Kabung Kota District using conventional methods.
              The research method used is experiment. The sample in this study were all fourth grade students totaling 43 people. Sample selection technique using Total Sampling. To determine the experimental class and control class is done randomly so that the IVA class is obtained as the experimental class and IVB class as the control class. In this study, the instrument used was a test instrument. Data analysis is done by testing normality, homogeneity, and hypotheses.              Data obtained from t-test testing. The results showed the average learning outcomes of science in the experimental class were 85.04 and the control class was 75.44. Hypothesis testing using a t-test of two differences averages shows the sig value. (2-tailed) = 0.001 <0.05 Ho is rejected, at a 95% confidence level.              Then it can be concluded the result of science learning of student by using model of Think Pairs Share better than student learning result by using conventional method. Looking at the learning model of Think Pairs Share gives a positive impact on students' science learning outcomes, then let the teacher use this learning model. Keywords: Think Pairs Share Model, Science Study Results, Experimental ResearchÂ
