The Influence of Two Stay Two Stray Learning Models on Civics Learning Outcomes of Grade IV Students of SDN 08 Pasar Surantih Pesisir Selatan

Abstrak

Citizenship Education is a subject that is used as a vehicle to develop and preserve noble and moral values rooted in the culture of the Indonesian nation. This research is based on the background because based on the observations that the author did on August 23 and 25 2017 in class IV SD Negeri O8 PasarsurantihPesisir Selatan in Civics learning, obtained an illustration that the teacher still uses conventional learning methods. This resulted in students feeling less interested in the subject matter presented by the teacher.                The purpose of this study was to determine differences in student learning outcomes between the influence of Two Stay Two Stray Learning Models on Civics learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN 08 PasarSurantihPesisir Selatan. This type of research is experimental research. The independent variable in this study is the influence of Two Stay Two Stray learning model while the dependent variable is the Civics learning outcomes. The population of this study were all fourth grade students of SDN 08 PasarSurantihPesisir Selatan in the 2017/2018 school year. A total of 46 students were selected as samples determined by saturated total sampling technique. The data analyzed in this study is the score of Civics learning outcomes in the cognitive domains collected through objective tests.               The results showed that there was an effect of Two Stay Two Stray learning model on Civics learning outcomes in class IV SDN 08 PasarSurantihPesisir Selatan. This can be seen from the acquisition of the average value of the experimental class (83.84) higher than the acquisition of the average value of the Control class (73.46) and the results of hypothesis testing using the t-test with (t_count = 4.28 ≥1 , 71 = t table).               From the study it can be concluded that the Two Stay Two Stray learning model gives a better influence than conventional learning. Looking at the results of this study, the Two Stay Two Stray learning model needs to be applied and developed in order to achieve optimal learning outcomes. Keywords: Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS), Learning Outcomes for Civics, Experiments
