Abstrak
Education is a conscious effort to prepare students through guidance, teaching or role in the future. The purpose of education is basically to deliver students towards changes in behavior, both intellectual, moral and social in order to live independently as individuals and social beings
Science is a science that has an exact science which includes aspects of life obtained through logical human thinking. Therefore the teacher must be able to choose the model that will be used in the learning process to instill a concept. In choosing a teacher model should always consider students so that students can learn actively and be able to understand the subject matter well. Based on observations and the results of interviews with the fourth grade teacher named IbuNovita Sari S Pd on September 4, 2017 at 12 PancungSoal Elementary School, researchers obtained data that students' science learning outcomes were still low, there were still many students who had not achieved the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM ) set. This can be seen from the large number of students chatting with their peers, besides that the teacher is still dominant using the lecture method without other variations, causing students to feel bored following learning and not concentrating on following the ongoing process. This can be seen in the activities carried out by students that is disturbing their peers and students often come in and out when the teacher explains learning
The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR).
