In Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System Article 1 Paragraph 1 states that "Education is a conscious and planned effort to realize a learning atmosphere and learning process so that students actively develop their potential to have religious spiritual strength, self-control, personality , intelligence, noble character, and skills needed by him, society, nation and state ". The results of observations at SDN 43 Sungai Sapih Padang teachers tended to use lecture and question and answer methods, convey lessons and then assign assignments to students, as a result the learning described was less attractive to students. When given the task only a few students were involved in doing the work while others were making a fuss. Based on these problems, the author has conducted a study entitled "The Influence of Quantum Teaching Models on Social Studies learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN 43 Sungai Sapih, Padang. Based on the background of the problem raised, it can be identified that the problem is the student learning outcomes in social studies learning is still low, the teacher's learning process only conveys the lesson and gives assignments to students, the explanation explained by the teacher does not attract students' attention. The author limits the problem of this research to the influence of social studies learning outcomes in grade IV at SDN 43 Sungai Sapih Padang. The formulation of the problem in this study was "Is there any influence of the results of the Quantum Teaching model on the learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN 43 Sungai Sapih Padang?" The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Quantum Teaching model on social studies learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN 43 Sungai Sapih Padang.               According to Susanto, Social Sciences (IPS) is a science that examines various social and humanities disciplines as well as basic human activities that are scientifically packaged in order to provide students with insight and deep understanding, especially at the primary and secondary levels. According to ShoiminQuantum Teaching is a lively change of learning with all its nuances and includes all the links between interactions, and differences that maximize learning moments.               This type of research is an experimental study with the population of this study were all students of SDN 43 Sungai Sapih Padang while the sample in this study was the fourth grade students of SDN 43 Sungai Sapih Padang as many as 68 students divided into three groups, namely classes IVa and IVb and IVc. By using Random Sampling, class IVa is obtained as the control class, class IVb as the experimental class and class IVc as the test class for the problem. The instrument in this study is a test of learning outcomes. The data analysis technique of this research uses normality, homogeneity and hypothesis testing.               From the results of hypothesis testing using the t-test obtained tcount1.82 and ttable 1.68 at the significance level 5 0.05 with dk is 46. Thus, tcount 1.82>ttable 1.68 then the hypothesis is accepted means there are effects of results studying social studies between the Quantum Teaching model and conventional learning class IV SDN 43 Sungai Sapih Padang.               Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there is an effect of learning outcomes between the experimental class and control class because both of the sample classes are given different learning treatments. And it is recommended that the teacher and subsequent researchers use the Quantum Teaching model in order to be better at doing Quantum Teaching.
