Abstract
The research is motivated by a lack of student interest in the context of the learning process. This
study aims to determine the application of the Role Playing model to the learning outcomes of
students in the fifth class in Indonesian Language subject at SDN 20 Dadok Tunggul Hitam
Padang. This study used the Role Playing Application by Shoimin. The theory used in this study
is the learning proposed by the person, while the variable is the result of learning Indonesian
Langauge. The populations in this study are all students of SDN 20 Dadok Tunggul Hitam
Padang which taken by random sampling technique. The data is collected from students'
Indonesian language learning result. The data are taken by tests and documentation. Hypothesis
testing used formulas that are preceded by normality test and homogeneity test. The results
showed that there were significant numbers, the experimental class with an average value of
85.95 by applying the Role Playing model and the control class with an average value of 64.4
applying the conventional model. This is done by the results of the statistical t
test

the results of the study can be compared to the results of Indonesian language learning that uses
the good Role Playing model of learning outcomes that use conventional learning on the material
and mind involved in discussion and play drama in class V SDN 20 Dadok Tunggul Hitam.
