This research is motivated by students who are still passive in learning,
students are very dependent on the explanation of the material delivered by the
teacher. Teachers rarely use models and media in learning. As a result, learning
becomes less attractive to students and students are less active in learning, so
student learning outcomes are low. From the fact that the writer is looking for a
solution to see the comparison of student learning outcomes, one of which is
doing research by applying take and give learning models, it aims to help students
in understanding learning in depth.
This type of research is an experimental study using true experimental
design that is Posttest-Only Control Design. The study population was all third
grade students of SDN 28 Batang Anai. The sampling technique is Random
Sampling. In order to centralize this research in achieving its objectives, the two
classes of the existing population are taken. The class to be sampled must have a
homogeneous variance and the same average, so that the variance homogeneity
test and the average similarity test will be carried out.
Based on data analysis used to test hypotheses, using the t-test formula.
The test criteria accept Ho if t count <t table or t count <t (1-a), with dk = n1 + n2-2 besides Ho is rejected. Based on the analysis of student learning outcomes data
with a 0.05 level of confidence obtained t count = 2.90 and t table = 2.00.
Based on the data analysis above, it can be concluded that there is a
positive influence on learning outcomes using learning take and give models. This
take and give model is highly recommended to be implemented in elementary
schools because the results of the research have a positive effect on learning
outcomes, especially in SD An 28 Batang Anai.
